i’m planning on spending a week in istanbul, and another week or 2 traveling around turkey to see the various sites next summer. is this dangerous for a solitary traveler? the only other person who could come is a teenage girl. would i experience any major difficulties?

it is safe of course :))
there are also people who speak good English, it won’t be the hardest thing on Earth
don’t say this in Türkiye cause people can get offended
people in Türkiye are very helpful and friendly. even though they speak very little English, they will do anything to help you, including body language. just ask them
have fun in Türkiye
