Ghost Buster asked:
I’m travelling to Europe for a few days.
But I heard that Paris and London are a lot of work to enjoy, since they’re big.
And I don’t have enough money for an organized tour. I just want a compact city, that’s easy to explore on foot, and that I can tour all by mself.
So I’m thinking Amsterdam, Krakow, Stockholm. These are really compact and walkable. What do you think?

I suggest you SIGHISOARA or SIBIU, in Romania. They are great. SIGHISOARA is a well preserved fortress and SIBIU is the European Cultural Captal in 2007.

If by compact, you mean “walkable” then some are:
Amsterdam, Prague, Strasbourg, Munich, Berlin, Barcelona, Seville

Try Stockholm. Its gorgeous.
And remember, there is always public transport, which is cheap outside places like London.
