    Definitely Auschwitz,Wieliczka,Zakopane.
Also Wadowice where John Paul II was born - there is a museum in the house where he lived. You’ll have unforgettable time!

Going to the Downtown area (rynek) is great. There you will find old building, alot of history, traditional food, and great shopping. Walking from rynek to the Wawel Castle is a short walk. There u will find a great historic Castel with Polish lagents, and alot of stories. Auschwitz Concentration Camp in Oswiencim is a place to see. Also going to Wieliczka Salt Mine is a great place to visit. They have a tour in english that is 3 or 4 hours long. The tour is very interesting, and according to experts very healthy. Other than that there are other little places to visit around Cracow. About 2 hrs away is a city of Zakopane. The city where the Polish Tatra Mountains are, including the highest peak. Very traditional way of living. Zakopance is also right on the border of Slovacia. Very Very nice city to visit.

Auschwitz and the Salt Mines–first one being very sad, second one being lots of fun.

All the suggestions are good but you may also try to see so called Eagle Nest trail - the range of limestone forms and castles from Krakow down to czestochowa. Near Krakow you would find Ojcow National Park and the Pieskowa Skala castle
