Travelling from Istanbul to Italy?

Is there anyone who knows whether what are the mode of transportation I can take to travel from Istanbul to Italy? Is it cheaper to fly or to take the train? Is there any train that travels to Italy?

    It is complicated.Bettre to go with Alitalia.Last year I went with my friends from Turkey to Rome, and I arranged them from Greece the tickets, because there are very nice offers with Alitalia..Search it first like that, because otherwise by train, you have to pass from Greece, and you ll lose so many days

    There are ferries from Brindisi and Ancona (Italy) to Kusadasi and Cesme (Turkey - Aegean coast) but none to Istanbul direct. Both Cesme and Kusadasi are close to Izmir and from there there is a ferry to Istanbul.
    You can travel by train between Venice, Rome or Naples and Istanbul.

    There is a ferry too, it takes a while and it is expensive and I don’t have the details. Just fly. You should be able to find a cheap flight.
