The train would definitely be faster and less of a hassle on you. You can even enjoy the scenery while on the train. If you need to drive to get around in Newcastle you can always rent a car there.

Take a train. Driving this time of year is crazy…the roads are truly bad, both in terms of the number of cars on the road as well as the conditions of the road.

Bring a book for the train journey. There’s pretty much nothing to see along the way, whether you are driving or taking the train.

definaetely take the train you do not want to drive in london london has a britlliatant transport network so arrive in london take the tube round london to the places you want to go then take the trainfrom kings cross to newcastle and you`ll be up in around 3 hours.

if driving you`ll have the lnodon traffic to cope with and it will take you around 7 hours to get up

Train is much faster - but try to book as far ahead as possible as there are only a limited number of cheaper tickets.

If you book late (one week before travelling) expect to pay £95 each. Much cheaper to go by car if you are taking 2+ people.

With each form of transport you risk being delayed.
