How Best to Plan for Your Holidays

Most holidays are for refreshing your body and mind from stressful days.  Thus, before going for your holidays, it is best for you to plan it carefully.  You really don’t want to find any disappointments and problems during your trips.  Those will only give you headaches instead of refreshment.

The first thing is for you to decide the desired destination, whether you want to go to Spain, or Mediterranean islands, Turkey, Egypt, Greece, or any other countries.  You must have some options in your mind.  Then, learn more about those destinations from some sites in the internet such as Wikipedia or Wikitravel.  Doing that can give you illustration about the destination as well as some places of interest that you might want to visit.

The next thing to do is to determine the budget. Whether you want to have cheap holidays or the more luxury holidays depend heavily on how much money you are willing to spend for this holiday.

Then you might want to decide to have separate bookings or just make it simple and book for all inclusive holidays.  All inclusive holidays usually include all you can eat and all you can drink as well as all your holiday activities and sports. All inclusive can vary greatly between different hotels, it’s always worth checking exactly what is and isn’t included in your holiday in the brochure.

Start your planning now, and have a great time!

cyprus.jpgBesides being breathtakingly beautiful islands, several famous islands in Mediterranean such as Malta, Cyprus, Creta, Corsica, and Corfu, are very, very old. This old term means dating back from the Stone Age through to the Roman Empire. Thus when visiting these islands, you will see (and must visit) from the archeological sites, ancient castles and ruins, to the modern places of interest.

malta-blue-lagoon.jpgThe first one is Malta. Valletta, Malta’s capital, is one of Europe’s most famous cities. Built over 500 years ago it is often described as a city ‘built by gentlemen, for gentlemen’ and has recently been made a World Heritage Site. When you walk into the city expect an explosion of activity, colour, noise and confusion. You must also see Hagar Qim and Mnajdra, two very beautiful stone age temples set on the cliffside of south Malta. Or you will love this Blue Lagoon where you will find some of the bluest waters around the islands. Staying at Malta hotels will provide more time to enjoy more.

cyprus-pafos_castle.jpgCyprus is a haven of traditional villages, medieval castles and impressive ancient sites. Nicosia, the capital as it has a wealth of history, preserved Venetian walls surrounding the city, some wonderful bars and restaurants within the old walls of the city and of course the ‘green line’, dividing between the Greek part and Turkish part of Cyprus. If you like nightlife, don’t forget to visit Ayia Napa, considered by many to be the main party town of Cyprus. You can explore more of the traditional-modern mix by staying at Cyprus hotels.

crete-samaria-gorge.jpgIn Crete you must see the ruins of the ancient Minoan civilization in Knossos, Phaistos and the Archaeological Museum of Heraklion. You will also enjoy the eccentric culture of Crete in the traditional cafes (kafeneia), or if you prefer more natural places, visit the gorge of Samaria, a 14km gorge that descends 1250 meters to sea level through some of Europe’s most spectacular natural scenery. Crete hotels are the best base so that you can see more.

corsica-genoese-tower.jpgMountain in the sea, Corsica is also called Island of beauty, not without reason. The diversity of its scenery, and its preservation from the aggressions of development and tourism, makes it one of the pearls of the Mediterranean sea. Corsica has excellent beaches and if you are there in the summer many of your activities will center around the beach. Staying at Corsica hotels is the best option if you want to see more.

corfu-ionian-islands.jpgCorfu is one of the Ionian Islands in Greece. Visit the village resort of Roda on Corfu’s northern coast. Traditionally a fishing village, the area has retained its character while developing in to a popular destination for holidays. Or you want to see Achilleion is a palace built in Corfu by Empress of Austria Elisabeth of Bavaria in 1889. You will get the feel of the city by staying at the local Corfu hotels.

Niagara Falls

Peak numbers of visitors occur in the summertime, when Niagara Falls are both a daytime and evening attraction. The oldest and best known tourist attraction at Niagara Falls is the Maid of the Mist boat cruise, named for an ancient Ongiara Indian mythical character, which has carried passengers into the whirlpools beneath the Falls since 1846. Cruise boats operate from boat docks on both sides of the falls. Really magnificent!
