best advice is don’t go between now and mid april, the cost of logdeing is almost 50% higher at this time.

    My Dear,
I have lived 3 years in Krabi/Aonang and moved last your to Phuket because the high price level there.
Actually ( high Season Dec. - April ) you pay for poor room between 1000 and 1500 Baht in Aonang, the same quality of room you can rent on Phuket for 600 Baht. Low budget and Krabi, there is no way anymore, believe me. As well the tour offers or renting a Motorbike is more expensive than on Phuket.
But if you don’t change your mind, visit my friend Tima at
Aonang Beach in Massage NO.1 (Last year 200 Baht for one hour), she is absolutely the best. The cozy wind from the sea and nice view is great when having the massage.

Around 10 years ago I went to Thailand and the Thai Tourist centre showed me pictures of many of the spots we could go to.

We were shown this info at Bangkok’s Hua Lamphong Station. We ended up going to Koh Samui, as we had already pretty much decided that before we went there but I almost changed it to Krabi.

Krabi looked beautiful and seemed to be a popular rock-climbing destination (the rocks in Thailand do seem to be good for climbing), so it would be a great activity to do there.

The beaches are beautiful and you can take kayaks out to river caves , so you should do something like that as well.
If you are back packing you are probably best to book your travel in Bangkok as it will probably be cheaper, unless you can see a good deal on the web. Otherwise just to to Bangkok’s Hua Lamphong Station (it’s in the lonely plane)

contact the State Railways of Thailand at tel. 1690, 223 7010, 223 7020 or visit.

My brother went to Krabi with his fiance and they had a nice time, stayed in lovely huts. I don’t know if they did to many adventurous activities though.

Make sure you have a thai massage.

When we went to Bangkok we did some cheap travel on an overnight train, bus and ferry. It was ok, but I was a little scared as the guards had guns, but there wasn’t any trouble at the time. Everyone slept in the same carraige, the bunks just folded out of the wall.

Sorry, I only deal in the inappropriate activities. You probably want a reputable tour guide company for that kind of stuff.
